Description

Crispy, golden dessert egg rolls filled with cinnamon-spiced apples—perfect for fall!

Ingredients

Scale

3 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced into 1-inch pieces

1 Tablespoon lemon juice

3/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 cup sugar

2 teaspoons cornstarch

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

8 egg roll wrappers

Vegetable oil for frying

Whipped cream or caramel sauce, for serving (optional)

Instructions

1. In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, and sugar.

2. In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch with ⅓ cup water, then add to the apple mixture.

3. Stir, bring to a boil, cover, and simmer until softened (about 5 minutes).

4. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, and let cool completely.

5. Arrange wrappers and add ¼ cup of filling per roll. Fold, seal with water, and roll tightly.

6. Heat oil to 360°F and fry 3–4 rolls at a time until golden brown.

7. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve warm with whipped cream or caramel sauce.

Notes

Use Granny Smith apples for the perfect tart balance. Air fry at 375°F for a lighter option.
