Description

Baked Tortellini Casserole is a cheesy marinara pasta bake made with tender cheese tortellini, rich tomato sauce, and melted mozzarella, perfect for a quick vegetarian dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

1 (20-ounce) package cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)

1 (24-ounce) jar marinara sauce

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

1 tablespoon olive oil

Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375 °F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Boil salted water and cook tortellini 2 minutes less than package directions. Drain well.

3. Mix tortellini with marinara, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.

4. Transfer to baking dish and top with mozzarella and Parmesan. Drizzle olive oil.

5. Bake uncovered for 15 minutes until bubbly. Broil 2–3 minutes for golden top.

6. Rest 5 minutes, garnish with herbs, and serve warm.

Notes

Cook tortellini slightly under to avoid softness.

Watch closely while broiling.

Add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for variation.
