Description
Blackberry Lemonade is a refreshing summer drink made with fresh blackberries, lemon juice, and a simple syrup for the perfect sweet-tart balance.
Ingredients
4 cups water
1 cup sugar
2 cups fresh blackberries
1 cup lemon juice
Instructions
1. Combine 1 cup of water with the sugar and berries in a small saucepan.
2. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, smashing the berries with the back of a fork or a potato masher to release some of their juice.
3. Once the sugar has dissolved, about 2 to 3 minutes of cooking, remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.
4. Strain the seeds from the syrup using a fine strainer or cheesecloth into a large pitcher. Discard the seeds.
5. Stir in the lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of water.
6. Chill and serve with ice.
