Description
These football-shaped blossom cookies combine creamy peanut butter dough with chocolate-covered almonds for a fun and delicious Super Bowl dessert.
Ingredients
1/2 cup softened butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1.5 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
24 chocolate-covered almonds
1/2 cup white candy melts
Instructions
1. Preheat Oven to 350°F.
2. Beat butter, peanut butter, sugar, and egg until creamy.
3. Whisk flour, baking powder, and baking soda together. Combine mixtures.
4. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
5. Shape dough into 1-inch balls on parchment-lined baking sheet.
6. Press a chocolate-covered almond into the center of each cookie.
7. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
8. Cool completely.
9. Melt candy melts and draw football laces on each almond using a toothpick.
Notes
