Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cubed
3/4 cup cold buttermilk
1 cup fresh blueberries (or ¾ cup dried)
2 tablespoons melted butter for brushing
Optional Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2–3 tablespoons milk or cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or lemon juice)
Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F and line baking sheet.
2. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. Cut in butter until mixture forms coarse crumbs.
4. Fold in blueberries and pour in buttermilk.
5. Mix until just combined; pat into 1-inch rectangle.
6. Cut biscuits and arrange on baking sheet.
7. Brush with melted butter; bake 18–20 minutes until golden.
8. Whisk glaze ingredients; drizzle over warm biscuits.
Notes
Use cold butter and buttermilk for best rise.
Don’t twist your biscuit cutter.
Can use frozen blueberries straight from freezer.
