Brie apple fig crostini is a festive fall appetizer featuring toasted baguette, creamy brie, sweet fig jam, and crisp apple slices.
Ingredients
1 baguette (thin loaf), sliced
Olive oil
Brie cheese (cut into thin slices)
Apples (thinly sliced)
Fig jam
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Slice baguette into 1/2-inch pieces and place on baking sheet.
3. Brush slices lightly with olive oil and bake about 5 minutes until golden.
4. Mix 1 tsp salt with 2 cups water and soak apple slices for 10 minutes.
5. Rinse apples lightly and pat dry.
6. Top each toasted slice with brie.
7. Add a small spoon of fig jam.
8. Finish with a thin apple slice and serve.
Notes
Toast bread until lightly golden, not overly crisp.
Assemble shortly before serving for best texture.
Optional: add thyme or walnuts for extra flavor.
