Description
These Cajun Scalloped Potatoes are creamy, cheesy, and perfectly spiced with Cajun seasoning — an irresistible twist on the classic potato gratin.
Ingredients
2 pounds Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes, peeled & sliced thinly
1 tablespoon butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1.5 cups heavy/whipping cream
1 tablespoon Tony Chachere’s Original Creole Seasoning
1 cup freshly grated cheddar cheese
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and place rack in the middle.
2. Grate cheese and slice potatoes thinly using a mandoline.
3. Melt butter in a saucepan, add garlic, and cook 30 seconds.
4. Stir in cream and Cajun seasoning until blended; remove from heat.
5. Layer half the potatoes, half the cream, and half the cheese in an 8×8 dish.
6. Repeat layers, finishing with cheese on top.
7. Bake uncovered 70–75 minutes until golden and tender.
8. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use freshly grated cheese for best melt.
Adjust Cajun spice to your preferred heat level.
