Description
Beautiful cream tarts made with buttery biscuit pastry and silky white chocolate frosting, perfect for birthdays or celebrations.
Ingredients
For the Tart Dough:
2 large eggs
5.5 oz granulated sugar (3/4 cup)
3 oz honey (1/4 cup)
Pinch salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
3.5 oz unsalted butter
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
13.5 oz all-purpose flour (3 cups)
For the White Chocolate Frosting:
10 oz white chocolate
10 oz heavy cream
16 oz cream cheese (full-fat)
Instructions
1. Combine eggs, sugar, honey, salt, and vanilla in a saucepan.
2. Add butter and heat until melted and smooth. Do not boil.
3. Remove from heat, whisk in baking powder and baking soda, and let cool slightly.
4. Mix in half of the flour; then knead the remaining flour until smooth.
5. Chill the dough for 1 hour.
6. Preheat oven to 350°F. Roll dough and cut desired shapes (hearts or numbers).
7. Bake for 6–8 minutes until golden on the bottom. Cool completely.
8. For frosting, heat cream and pour over white chocolate. Stir until melted.
9. Cool and whip with cream cheese until smooth.
10. Pipe frosting between tart layers and decorate with fruits, flowers, and macarons.
Notes
You can prepare dough and frosting one day in advance. Keep refrigerated and assemble before serving.
