Description
Fried Peach Pies made with canned biscuits are crispy on the outside and filled with sweet peaches, then topped with a smooth almond glaze.
Ingredients
1 can refrigerated biscuits (8 count tube of Grands biscuits)
15 ounce can peaches
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon pure almond extract
Instructions
1. Using a rolling pin, gently roll each biscuit into a 4 to 6 inch round. Lightly flour if needed.
2. Drain the peaches well.
3. Place at least two peach slices onto each biscuit round. Fold over and press edges together, then seal with a fork.
4. Place pies on a parchment lined baking sheet and freeze for 15 minutes.
5. Heat oil in a skillet to 350 degrees.
6. Add four pies at a time and fry for 2 to 4 minutes per side until golden brown.
7. Remove and place on a rack to drain excess oil.
8. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and almond extract to create glaze.
9. Pour glaze over cooled pies and serve.
Notes
Seal edges tightly to prevent leaks during frying.
Do not overcrowd the skillet.
Maintain oil temperature for even cooking.
Allow pies to cool slightly before glazing.
