Description

A creamy, spicy blend of cream cheese, hot sauce, and crispy chicken inspired by Nashville hot chicken.


Ingredients

3 (8 oz) pkgs cream cheese, softened

3/4 cup full-fat buttermilk, room temperature

1/4 cup hot sauce (Texas Pete or Crystal’s)

1 1/2 tbsp honey

1 tsp cayenne pepper

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1 1/4 tsp garlic powder

34 breaded chicken tenderloins, cooked and chopped

2 tbsp hot sauce (for topping)

1 1/4 tbsp honey (for topping)

Pinch garlic powder (for topping)

Sliced dill pickles

Green onions, thinly sliced


Instructions

1. Add cream cheese and buttermilk to a bowl; microwave until soft, stirring every minute.

2. Whip mixture with hand mixer until smooth.

3. Add hot sauce, honey, cayenne, paprika, and garlic powder; mix until combined.

4. Spread into serving dish.

5. Top with cooked, chopped chicken pieces.

6. Mix remaining hot sauce, honey, and garlic powder; drizzle over chicken.

7. Garnish with sliced pickles and green onions.

8. Serve warm with chips or crackers.

Notes

Best served warm. You can adjust spice level by reducing cayenne or using milder hot sauce.
