Description
Crispy oven-baked cheesy tacos filled with seasoned beef, melty cheddar, and fresh toppings for the perfect easy taco dinner.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (or turkey/chicken)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 packet taco seasoning
½ cup tomato sauce or salsa
Salt & pepper, to taste
10 small taco shells
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup lettuce, shredded
½ cup diced tomatoes
½ cup red onion, diced
¼ cup cilantro, chopped
Optional: sour cream, guacamole, jalapeños, hot sauce
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease baking dish.
2. Heat oil in skillet, sauté onion and garlic.
3. Add ground beef, season with taco mix and tomato sauce. Simmer 5 minutes.
4. Fill taco shells with meat and cheese. Arrange in baking dish.
5. Bake 10–15 minutes until cheese melts and edges crisp.
6. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, cilantro, and desired toppings.
Notes
Serve immediately for best crunch. Use leftover beef for burritos or nachos.
