Description

Juicy pan seared ribeye steak with garlic butter and caramelized onions for a restaurant-quality flavor at home.

Ingredients

Scale

2 boneless rib eye steaks (1½ inch thick)

2 teaspoons Kosher salt

1 teaspoon Black pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 tablespoons butter

4–5 garlic cloves

1 large onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

1. Bring rib-eye steaks to room temperature and season with salt and pepper.

2. Heat a skillet on medium-high; add 2 tablespoons butter and 1 tablespoon olive oil. Add onions and cook until golden (15–20 mins). Remove and set aside.

3. Increase heat to high, add 1 tablespoon olive oil, then steaks. Cook for 4–5 minutes, flip.

4. Add remaining butter and garlic. Baste constantly for 3–4 minutes for medium-rare.

5. Serve with onions and spoon pan sauce over the steaks.

Notes

Let steaks rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
