Description
Peach Cake with Brown Sugar Frosting is a moist peach dessert made with yellow cake mix, peach gelatin, frozen peaches, and topped with a rich caramel-style brown sugar frosting.
Ingredients
1 (15-oz) box yellow cake mix
2 (3-oz) boxes Peach Jell-O
4 eggs
1 cup oil
1 (16-oz) bag frozen peaches
1/2 cup salted butter
2 cups brown sugar, packed
2/3 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 pan.
2. Beat cake mix, peach Jell-O, eggs, and oil.
3. Cut frozen peaches and fold into batter.
4. Spread into pan and bake 40-45 minutes.
5. Cool completely.
6. Boil butter, brown sugar, and cream for 1 minute.
7. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
8. Cool in ice bath until thickened.
9. Beat frosting 3-5 minutes.
10. Spread over cooled cake.
Notes
Do not thaw peaches before mixing.
Cool cake fully before frosting.
Store at room temperature for 1-2 days, then refrigerate.
